Any members in Cumbria?

Post by StevevRS » Fri Jan 23, 2004 10:09 pm

Hi,

I'm currently the proud owner of a Skoda Tavia vRS but I think I want an RS4 for my next car. Are there any users on here from Cumbria?

Also, I've come to the Skud from an Impreza as I needed something cheaper to run for a while due to a baby! How expensive are RS4's to run - MPG, servicing etc. It can't be any worse than an Impreza!

Regards

Steve

Hi Steve, & welcome to the club. I think you & I are only members in Cumbria, but I know of 3 RS4's in my area (south Cumbria). John Brady, a mate of mine, has an RS but no computer (he doesn't believe in them )There is also a guy from near Millom who has a red one . As for running costs, just paid £400 for 25K service including MOT, new spark plugs & brake fluid change. I think we get off lightly up here compared to those who live further south. I average 24 mpg which includes some spirited driving, which for the performance is excelent. Like most of the guy's on this site, I wouldn't swap mine for anything else (except a new one). When you are able, get one, you won't regret it.
