Hi folks

Just joined this forum today, as I picked up my first RS4.

It’s a b7, 2007 avant. I’m in Glasgow, but bought it down in London.

It’s great fun to drive, however there are a few niggly problems. The main one seemingly being the clutch switches, as the cruise control doesn’t work, the engine revs too high when changing gear, and you need to press and hold the starter. All classic symptoms I think!

I’ve called myself miniboy as I have a classic Mini Cooper, and am a member on a mini forum. The mini forum is very helpful, and I hope this one is too!

Clutch switches are a common (parts bin) issue. Same as the brake light switch from Polo’s, Fabia’s and the VW Transporter. Can be fiddly to change, but there is a good guide on this forum.
