RS4 Interior Upgrades?

Post by Hudson1984 » Tue Apr 14, 2020 11:07 am

Hi all,

i'm currently looking at a new car purchase. I've got a company car at the moment and likely to be giving it back.

When lockdown eventually ends I think i'll be working from home more than I do at the moment and as such no need to think too practically.

With this in mind I've got my eye on something like:

Now I love it, I had an A5 in the past and loved the thing - other than the lack of space in the back for normal family duties so i'm really attracted to the RS4 Avant.

My only real gripe is the interior. The radio area just shows it's age these days.

So, thought i'd come ask what you lot have done (if anything) and see what options exist to bring this up to date a bit. I think the exterior still looks good, perhaps the rear lights need a bit of an update, but on the whole it's not looking like an old car. It's just that interior....

please help, I need to make this compete with newer cars of lesser brands to avoid the wife issues with a dated car... that and the fact I agree on this point!

Hi

To be honest you soon get used to the interior and dash area. My previous car to the B7 was a Mk7 Golf R so far newer but if I’m honest, the B7 dash is fine. Yes it’s a bit dated but it’s a 14 year old design and there is far worse out there at this age point. Get on with carbon trim, Recaros and no phone cradle and you’ll be fine.

Nice colour by the way, Sprint is a great colour and really changes depending on light.
