Hello from Wokingham
Hi all - new forum member, just bought myself a 63 plate S4 avant black edition - I am far too old to get this excited about a car but I absolutely love it!!!! Was gonna go for a VW Golf R, drove one, it had a slipping clutch which put me off (probably unfairly) but was lucky for me because I’ve now got this. Anyway 2 questions I wonder if people could help with. 1) I need a rear bumper protector in black (no chrome in the car so didn't want to start now) but struggling to find one for an S4 Avant. Anyone know where I can get one? Secondly I thought the car had DCC - but appears not. It’s a B8.5. Anyway just wondering about that. Taking it to France in August - can’t wait

Congrats on the purchase buddy. S4 is a real sleeper of a car and surprises a lot of people once tuned.Sihow1969 wrote:Hi all - new forum member, just bought myself a 63 plate S4 avant black edition - I am far too old to get this excited about a car but I absolutely love it!!!! Personally, I have never used a bumper protector but below is a link I have seen shared on Audi-Sports.net

Re: DCC you mean Dynamic Cruise Control? If so, Audi calls it Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and doesn't come as standard on S4s.
Re: Hello from Wokingham
Thanks for the link and info. On the DCC I meant drive select. My allroad has it (newer model) but I thought the B8.5 did as well. Cheers
Re: Hello from Wokingham
Not on all B8.5s but ADS can be activated using Carista, OBDEleven or VCDS and it is a 2 mins job. It will be more effective if your car has Sports Diff/Active Dampers. However, you can still get three options that come by activating it; Steering, Throttle and Engine and Individual offcourse. These alone do make a bit of a difference.Sihow1969 wrote:Thanks for the link and info. On the DCC I meant drive select. My allroad has it (newer model) but I thought the B8.5 did as well. Cheers
