Post by allan108 » Fri Nov 23, 2018 8:01 pm

Hello!

I have been lurking but should say hi! Great information on here, so thanks. I’m staring the search for a c5 Rs6, so I will be reading A lot more.

Currently have a plain Jane a4 and a defender, the dogs want something more fun.....

Cheers in advance.

Al

Thanks everyone, I’m well aware of the horrors! But hopefully if i buy a well looked after one, with the right parts replaced / restored, then it should be an enjoyable car.

My last daily was a 79 911 sc Rs rep, so I’m ok with spoending to keep a car running well.

My Audi is a 2.0tdi avant, my previous one was a 2007 avant 1.4, both great cars.

Well..... I found one! Now the very proud owner of a really well looked after blue c5 RS6!

all thanks to this forum, it was not advertised, and I managed to research a large chunk of its history through this site!

It drives so much better than I hoped for! Really enjoying it, credit to its previous owners.

Martin at unit 20 checked the history for me and pointed me in the right direction, it will be driven down to unit 20 for its annual servicing.

I’ll add more as I get more familiar.

Thanks forum!!

Al

Glad you found what you were after.

Are you from Aberdeen or around there? Just curious as I’m a highlander.

Cheers
