Tapatalk Removal

Please note that at the end of June 2018 we will be removing support for Tapatalk from RS246. The reasons are that it is storing our content on their servers only and it limits the banner adverts we can run. Please use our responsive browser interface @ https://forum.rs246.com/

Probably unless I find a way to keep it alive for existing users.

Has this effected the forum search facility, as that's just timing out for me now Phil?

Don't think so Sam, however I do remember someone saying there was a problem with the search. What search term causes a timeout?

The term 'Wimbledon' in the B7 section caused the time out. Tried it in both Chrome and Firefox and no luck.

Now using Google to search with the following term - site:https://forum.rs246.com and getting results fine, albeit not as specific as the forums own advanced search facility.

How does that differ from doing the same search on RS246 but without selecting a subforum?

I'll look at rebuilding the search index to see if that helps

Index rebuild in progress. Search will not work until it has completed.

Indexing in progress
The search backend is currently indexing all posts on the board. This can take from a few minutes to a few hours depending on your board’s size.

It's no different. Just allowed me to get search hits with the keyword I wanted.

Hopefully the index rebuild sorts it.

OK so I have cancelled the back end re-indexing and use what was set previously.

I will look to re-index overnight UK time.
