Hi All
I have just bought my first Audi RS 6 (2004) with 79k on it, Having looked at all the paperwork the cam belt was done in 2008 with 35k on the clock. Should I be looking at getting it done Asap I am based in Wiltshire any recommendations please. Thanks Steve.

If you go to the C5 RS6 forum page on here then you'll find loads of useful info in the FAQ's and the members are also very helpful.
As for the cambelt, it should be done every 40,000 miles or 4 years. If yours hasn't been done for 7 years then I'd suggest a very steady drive to a specialist (not a main dealer) to get it done asap. I would also be a little concerned why something so important hasn't been done and I'd have the whole car thoroughly inspected. It doesn't give much confidence that the previous owners have looked after it well.
As you're in Wiltshire I'd take in to Camspec in Crawley
http://camspeconline.com.
They've looked after my RS6 for the last 6 years and I can't fault their work or their honesty. I now live in Ireland and when my cambelt is due again in 3 years, I'll be taking the car for a nice long drive back to Camspec as I have that much faith and trust in them!
