back in the RS club

Post by Starry » Tue Jul 19, 2016 9:50 pm

Ive just bought PetrolDaves black avant after a bit of haggling. Its book in for some tints on Friday and to MRC next month for a full de-coke, inlet flap removal and a stage 2 map.
I will be plasti-dipping the chrome, then Some spacers and paint to tidy things up and we're getting there.

Welcome buddy. Very nice acquisition.

Marc, think the "re-stage 2" would be due to the changes brought on by the inlet flap removal?!!

A re-remap?

Maybe a tweak required but I wouldn't expect a full new map being required (I.e. Having to may for a new stage 2). See what Doug says, but I'd e pact it to be similar to if you wanted to add launch control or another feature after the map was done.

Yeah possibly?. Perhaps we have misconstrued Starry's terminology when it perhaps should have been "tweek" the stage 2?

Im sure he will be along shortly to confirm!!

When I had my stage 2 done Doug said he would tweak the map if I went back in for a carbon clean.

Hi, cost is £1050+vat for de-coke, flap rrmoval and, I thought he said new map but maybe it's a tweek. I took it that it would need adjustment due to the flaps and carbon bring removed. He told me they do a carbon clean @ I think he said £600 and a full and more thorough Clean which is what I choose.

Nice one

Was interested in this as I might swap over to a fully defatted system eventually and didn't fancy stumping up big for the tweak
