Hi All

Hi Everyone!

Thought I would just post quick "hello" thread as I am now looking to join the ranks of the Audi owners.

I have been a VW man since I passed my test and thought it was probably about time I stepped up a level. Previous cars include:

1981 Mk1 Golf 1.1
1990 Mk2 Golf Rallye (built from shell with 2.9 VR6 engine)
1990 MK2 Golf 8v GTI
1990 Mk2 Golf - Track Car with 2.9 VR6 Engine
2004 MK5 Golf GT TDI

Happy to post pictures if anyone is interested, but obviously aren't the reason I am here! I have had an itching for an B7 RS4 Avant for a while and now in the position to get one. I've started the search and hope to be the proud owner of the right one soon - particularly as the MK5 Golf has let me down today!

Welcome noob. You'll find plenty of good info and invaluable advice here and some good members' cars come up for sale quite often on the forum.

Good move from Dubs to RS4 :D

Thanks!

I've been lurking around a little while now so already picked up a few bits of help and tips for looking for a good one and from the looks of things there's loads of knowledge and expirence knocking around here.

With an 8 month old I need a bigger car but one still able to put a smile on my face - so I'm moving away from the small old Dubs with engines that are bigger than they should have, and onto a nice "family" estate with a V8

Golfs are normally a solid bet - I ran an '08 GT TDI for 12 months as I did not want to put miles on my RS4!

Good luck with your search for your ideal family wagon.

The safety features and the larger boot space for the Pram is totally the reasons I sold it to my Mrs as well. That and colour the I want is "pretty" as well apparently.

Unfortunately, with me looking for a new car she's now done the same and picked out as SQ5 for the same reasons I sold her on the RS4. I don't think I have a leg to stand on to talk her down to "just" a Q5.
