Hi all... My first Audi (RS4)

Hi all

Thought I'd drop a quick hello to all as I've recently bought my first Audi, a 63 plate RS4 in sepang blue. Had it a few weeks now and loving every minute of it. Having previously owned a 2011 Scooby STI (which convinced me that AWD is the way to go) and a VXR8 (I wanted to go back to a great sounding V8) the RS4 was my obvious choice. Looked for the right one for a couple of months then this one came up, a perfect fit with the sports pack and tech pack, as well as less than 10k miles.

Only things I would wish differently is the car kit for the phone (so I can use RSAP and the car aerial - very poor signal round here) and the tilting wing mirror when reverse selected. oh yes and the fact someone else at work got an almost identical car so I don't feel quite as unique as I could.. lol

Oh before I forget... I'm out in west Cumbria in case there are any fellow members round here..

Sounds like you have a nice car there but you gotta show us some photos!

What's the problem with the tilting mirror? It doesn't do it or you want to turn it off?

Once it stops raining in the rainy county, I'll get some photos... though that's probably 2015 sometime!

The problem with the mirror is that it doesn't tilt. I kind of expected it too on a VAG car.. Our EOS does it and i find it helpful when parallel parking..

Still they're only minor issues, keeping my licence is going to be a bigger issue..

I'd be surprised if the mirror doesn't tilt, unless it was an option you don't have. You normally have to have the mirror adjuster set to the passenger side then selecting reverse should tilt the mirror. This is from other Audi experience, not the B8 as I don't have one.

Mirror will only auto tilt when reverse is selected if you've got the seat memory package

Darn no memory seats, so no tilting wing mirror then. Thanks for clarifying.
