What to look for when purchasing RS4

Post by spursspence » Mon Aug 25, 2014 11:49 pm

I am new to this and am going to buy an RS4 B7. Is there anything I need to look for when buying one. What are the common faults etc it's a 56 plate with 59k on the clock

Read all of it. Honestly, it's great. No point reinventing the wheel here.

Then, for bonus points click and read through the last few weeks worth of posts: not essential, but it'll get you comfortable with the lingo, the main themes.

Then read the buyers guide again. :)

Good luck!
This website is a great source. I wish I spent more time on it before buying mine - I got lucky with my car though. It's getting harder band harder to find a good one so the better equipped you are the better. A few new members have posted links to cars they're interested in buying and got good appraisals from the members here - well, as good as they can be from afar.

Oh, and FON. I forgot the first time :P

And p.s. have a good read of all the parts of the pitonheads buyers guide from last year. I was considered by be very accurate on the whole. The links are further down the 'buyer's guide' thread.
