Evening all! I've just signed up (with the help of Phil and Mike to get round the forum-not-liking-my-email-address issue).

I currently drive a Renault Megane RS250, however, am now seriously looking for a B7 RS4. The other half would like me to get an Avant as an alternative smelly, wet dog lugger (her Freelander currently has that task), but I prefer the saloon. Needless to say, I will probably end up with an Avant.

I'm looking forward to perusing the forum over a mug of tea.....

Saloons are faster and better than the bread van alternative!

Saloon - for the discerning RS4 owner.

Avant - for the rubbish run, IKEA run and any other menial task.

You know the saloons are better and quicker

Ha ha!!! not the overlong what's fastest debate again!!!

I've got an Avant and its pretty bloody fast like!!! can't imagine there's much in it to be honest, .2 of a second maybe!!

I also have a dog, but he'll never see the inside of it and thats a FACT, he'll never even get in the boot!!! thats what the van's for!!

Anyway whatever you end up buying you'll love it I'm sure!!

Oh forgot to post a pic of a cracking Imola B7 Saloon I saw whilst I was out working in Baku!!

The driver said he was really happy with the MRC Map!!!

Now, about the saloon v Avant debate. You'll have to get used to people assuming you're delivering something if you get the latter. However, if you get a saloon the public will assume it's a minicab, so be prepared to be hailed in the street, especially late at night by drunks. Oh, and your interior will smell of kebabs and stale vomit. . And it won't be as fast as an RS4 'van'. Or, in fact, any van

Far too fast to be hailed - besides, the 'nightlife' will be gathering around the Avant pie van thinking it's the local nighttime munchies being sold...
