Hi there,my name is shane I bought a 1999 audi b5 s4 about 2 years ago the car sat on my drive until about a month ago I only passed my test end of last year,so this is my first car on the road,i have always had a soft spot for the b5 more so the rs4 b5 but I cant afford one yet,maybe in the future when my insurance comes down (only just turned 25)the car I purchased is in stock form original wheels,engine seems standard which is what caught my eye about the car,the garage I bought it off said its got a map on it but I don't know how good the map is as this is the only s4 I have driven am I right in saying they came with 265bhp from the factory 0-60 in about 5.6s correct me if im wrong,i think the b5 rs4 is 380bhp same 2.7 block fettled by cosworth,bigger bores,etc internals,ko4s opposed to k03s on my s4,i live in wigan in Lancashire now Ive had a few teething problems on getting the car on the road,firstly I had a new alternator on as the other one failed,then went for the mot and it failed,because the abs light was on got a new sensor and then it went out,had a new lamda sensor on it first though I had a vag diagnostic test and these are the things it threw up,now it needs a exhaust gas temp sensor (bank 2) now I know im taking a risk but I found a 1999 s4 avant for breaking so I got two for £75 and the part numbers are the same as mine,to it to a garage yesterday for them to be fitted went today they cant get the old one off it was to tight,so there is another mechanic coming today he said he will get it off,(hopefully)any way I will end on a positive note AUDI 4 EVER im an enthusiast from the group b s1,i like the tuning capable engines audi have built over the years also the looks,build quality and not to forget the legendary QUATTRO,kind regards shane in the uk.
