Hi Guys, your site was recommended to me as the best Audi forum to join up for and get some hands on info on the Audi models im interested in. Im Currently driving a 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.0 GT B4, running about 350bhp at the moment. It has lots and lots of modifications at this stage and very little left on it thats standard, I have probably reached the limit of its potential without seeking crazy money into it and to be honest i just want something that comes beastly in standard form! I have always like the S/RS models and they are probably within my price range now for s used one. Im looking at the 5.2 V10 S6 models as it seems to tick most of the boxes im after at the minute. Ill post my questions and concerns in the appropriate section once i find it.
I look forward to exploring the site and hopefully getting a nice Audi over the next few months!
Thanks
Dan

Welcome.
First thing re the V10 S6, these rarely make stated power, so be aware of that. They can suffer from carbon build up. Sound great and are a good luxury barge, but not likely to set your hair on fire. Having said all that they do represent good value. Not many about though so you'll have to compromise somewhere along the lines.

Ive hear of the carbon build up issues but can you de-coke it yourself if you are DIY orientated

? How much power can the carbon build up issue rob form the 430bhp? I have spent more time that i would like under the bonnet of my subaru so i could deal with most general service procedures myself. What fuel should they be ran on as the best stuff available these days over here is 95. I have to say the sound does it for me alright! One of the guys in work has one so maybe we should do some straight line comparisons with my current subaru to see how they compare! There is only 2 currently for sale over here both Avant's
