Just joined and would welcome any feedback and advice on this car which I am seriously looking at buying.
I am a first time Audi man, have driven a friends B7 RS4 Saloon in San Fransisco and fell in love. Of course will try before I buy.

Anything else in this budget (avant, black, mugello) I would look at, hope to be a fun active member of this community as an owner. Based in Exeter,
Thank you and let the abuse begin!

Going to look at it now, please speak now or forever hold your peace!
Are the miles too big or with a FASH does not really matter?

Welcome, check out the buyers guide in the B7 section.
Big mileage is not a big deal, just make sure its services and has had the relevant service campaigns carried out ( similar to a recall).
Symptoms of DRC going are leaking shocks mainly from the front and or a knocking noise when driving over bumps ( however this can be mistaken for loose steering rack bolt).
Worn driver seat bolster is not unusual, factor this in the price, as with any worn interior items.
Ask to see what service schedule is and to see if it ties in with the current mileage ( as well as MOT as other paper work) Its either going to be a 20k mile long life service or a 10k/12month fixed interval service.
Check brake discs and pads, juddering brake pedal feel could be a symptom of warp discs ( or just build up of pad dust, normally some hard breaking exercise will resolve issue).
Make sure valved work in the exhaust and that the seat bolsters ( buckets only) inflate when the sports button is pressed. ( make sure it have been selected in the DIS prior).
The car should have 2 keys and a plastic wallet key as well as the barcode tag to purchase new keys of yours is lost.
Good luck and dont rush in to buying it.

Thanks Sonny and Mike.....one final question, if I am too scared by the big mileage should I consider a saloon to stick within my budget or hold out for an Avant?

Saloons are much better than avants!
I'm sligtly biased though. Why do you want an Avant? Is is for the space or the looks? I myself much prefer the looks of the saloon although I must say the avant is probably THE best looking estate cars around. I've always preferred saloons and as I dont have any dogs, I dont see the need for an estate. I also have a pick up truck which means I have even less need for an avant.
However I can still get the missus and the 2 kids along with all the stuff we need for a weekend away in the boot as well as an 18" subwoofer. What more do you want!
Plus its faster!

Lol, no I badly worded that. The kids don't go in the boot, it's just the wife. The kids go on the roof like that American politicians dog.

Horses for courses.
I love the look of the avant but went for the saloon as i knew i would be taking it on track ( its lighter so handles a tad better). It also officially faster too.
Boot spacer is longer in the saloon too but obviously lacks the height.
