RSQ8 Oil Top Up?

Hey guys

Just found this forum - wish I'd known about you sooner!

Quick, basic Q....my RSQ8 (2021) had an oil change around 5000 miles ago, but the warning to top up the oil has come on. 2 questions please!

I read that the suggest mileage before another oil change for cars like this is 5000 but many will say 10000 is fine....what would you guys recommend?

Secondly, if just a top up, what oil should I be using?

I have her booked into Audi on Monday at present to be on the safe side, but if I don't need to spend the £400 odd for a full oil change, that would be great right now!

Hi mate, all the V8s burn oil, that's pretty normal. If I remember correctly, my B7 Avant came factory supplied with 1ltr of Castrol and free Audi Brolly, I use Castrol edge 5/30. Just realised I had some from my last bike oil change. I use either Opie or Halfords as I have a trade card, but Opie always have deals on and are great to deal with.. https://www.opieoils.co.uk/
