Hi All,
Finally I get to drive the car of my dreams, a black 2007 RS4, well hopefully when it arrives.
It is stock standard with no modifications, however, I was after your advice as I would like to change the exhaust and see there are a multitude of after market exhausts, Milltek, JHM, Akrapovic etc.
Any suggestions, guidance, advice would be very much appreciated.

Re: New RS4 B7 Owner
Welcome, hope you enjoy your new toy and it lives up to your dreams - it will!
There is loads of knowledge on this forum, and some great opinions to be had but the underlying factor is how subtle / loud / obvious you want the exhaust to sound.
I took mine through the A3 Liphook tunnel last week and my pal in another car said it sounded superb without being OTT.
Millteks are definitely a popular choice with a range of valved or unvalued options to suit.
Questions I would ask (myself) is if you are going to p*ss your neighbours off if you start up early morning or late at night with an aftermarket systems, as the car opens everything/revs a little high for 30-50 seconds until the cats start to warm up and this can be loud!
A couple of times I got not so subtle hints from neighbours when I have early starts with my short live RS5 with an ABT exchaust - my stock RS4 is just right IMO!!
Also would save yourself £1k+ by staying stock.
