First RS

Post by monkeychap » Thu Mar 14, 2019 8:20 pm

Hi

I just picked up my B7 RS4 Avant today. First Audi, though I've owned a few VWs over the years. So far so good, feels like a really solid, planted car. There are few bits and pieces need sorting, but they're all very minor cosmetic...expect to see lots of noob questions over the coming months.

Welcome along,

Get some photos up. You can’t compare a VW and an Audi though... :ban:

Cheers

It's a backdate - the cars barely changed from 1968 to 1989 so a lot of the older panels fit the later air-cooled cars. I bought what I thought was a really solid 3.2 Carrera but it turned out to be mostly rust held together with a shiny new paint job. Resto thread from hell is here:

Great looking RS4 B7, I bet you're pleased. I like the colour, it really shows off the shape well.
And wow, amazing what you can do with a pile of rust, your Porsche is a credit to you.
