New member - 2017 Audi RS6 purchased

Post by terrycollins999 » Fri Aug 11, 2017 7:48 am

Hi All,

Earlier this week we picked up our new Audi RS6 Performance picture below. We got what we consider a good deal with over £20K off list making it just about affordable.

Such a refined quiet drive with extreme power when needed, coming from a 2016 BMW M3 CP this is just so grown up in comparison. Really happy with the car.

Terry

Looks awesome Terry. Tell us more about the comparison / driving experience against the M3.

In my opinion the M3 is more suited to the track, whereas the RS6 is an all-round vehicle. Off the line or on a straight line the RS6 is quicker than the M3, mainly due to the M3 inability to put down 450bhp on two wheels at lower speeds. The M3 is suited to the advanced driver, the wife never felt comfortable driving it since at any moment the rear end could have traction issues if the right foot is used. In comparison the RS6 is a doddle to drive, the Quattro makes it so easy. Comfort wise the Audi wins without a doubt, a far nicer place to be on longer journeys. You no longer have to listen to the roar of the engine which while enjoyable at times, it becomes tiresome. Of course just my opinions.

The colour is one of Audi Custom not a standard colour.

Good choice - welcome. You've made a great choice.

One thing though - and I may sound paranoid with this. As you probably know, these cars are the scumbag's favourite. Assuming your username is your real name, I'd change it to something a bit less obvious.

There's a sense that this forum may be read by some of the lowlife that target these cars. Wouldn't take much to tie a name back through social media to a particular location. Just a bit of advice.

Congrats but I can't see any photo at all now. What colour is it?
And 20k is a bloody good discount. I assume it was a stock car they want to get rid of rather than a factory order?
