Hello All!

Post by zainster » Mon Feb 29, 2016 5:04 pm

Long time record breaking lurker? ... wanted to post after I'd got myself a B7 RS4, however, seeing as I joined a few years ago and for one reason or another not managed to scratch this itch, I thought at this rate i'l never post so hopefully breaking my duck here leads to the itch being scratched!

Although mainly bought BMW M cars (having had 5), a couple of friends have always been S & RS fans (one had an 8l & an 8P S3 & the other 5 S4's & 1 B5 RS4 ) so I've always liked them and when I saw the B7 on top gear I knew I would have to get one, one day!

Well I resumed looking for 'the one' again a couple months back and thanks to the very knowledgeable peeps on here I feel better prepared to get one now then ever before. So thank you.

So sadly no pictures to add as yet but will defo return to this post to update once I've got it!

Had my RS4 for a few days now and all I can say is what a great car it is.

Feels a quality product and drives beautifully.

Stuck 4 brand new uniroyal RS3's all round over the weekend and 4 wheel alignment (only needed 1 adjustment which was fractionally out).

Its a 2007 07 Avant
Daytona pearl grey
Under 67k miles
Adaptive lights
Buckets
Sat Nav
Mobile phone prep in f/c/a
Tinted glass

It had full DRC system replaced by Audi 25k miles ago as well as the oil cooler and pipes.

New discs and pads up front 14k miles ago.

I bought it after it went through an Audi health check which it was given a full clean bill of health.

Had a major service including spark plugs January 2016.

So far so good but only a few days so we'll see how it goes buy initial impression is its a really good one. Seems to pull strongly.
Had a couple 3rd gear runs from 40 to 80 and timed using the onboard lap timer and got 7.8 & 8.0 so appears carbon isn't a big issue. .. yet lol
