Horrible noises

Post by TinTin RS6 » Sat Feb 13, 2016 12:32 am

Hi guys, can anyone help.
I have a horrible rattle that sounds like it's coming from the front right wheel or suspension.
You can even feel a little vibration.
Looked and checked everywhere, there's no visible problems, no noises when rocked etc.
I have noticed that my rear left shock is busted and leaking so a new one has been ordered.
Could this be the cause of the noise? Opposite end and opposite side?
Any help appreciated,
Thanks

What car is this on?

If its a car equipped with DRC this could be the cause as a leaking strut can cause low pressure, the shocks are linked one rear and one right in opposites (i think) so a rear leaking could screw the system.

Can anyone please tell me where the reservoir is?
The car is on the ramp right now and has a new shock fitted, but we can't find the reservoir to top it up

It’s a pressurised system you can’t “top it up” you have to take it to Audi in order for them to plug in there “special” connector into the strut and pressurise it then check pressure on the rest of the car.
Each shock has its own reservoir that can’t be filled by hand.
