Hi from Oxfordshire

Post by Geoff A » Tue Jan 06, 2015 3:24 pm

Afternoon folks, signing in to say hi as I embark on a new phase of car ownership......well, almost! After many years of Mercs the lure of an S4 Avant Black Edition is too tempting to ignore as my next DD/workhorse. Having test drove an RS4 Avant, I had my eyes opened to build quality, fit and finish and overall great feel that has made my C-class feel, well, a little out-dated.
I haven't found the right car to buy yet, but i'm on the hunt and hoping to learn from others and be guided by experiences from within the forum.
It'll be my first Audi too ;) and hopefully a stepping stone towards V8 ownership as the RS4 itch will one day have to be scratched.....
Thanks
Geoff. :bigwave:

Well first things first, FON :beerchug:

And remember, that RS itch must be scratched sooner rather than later. Forum rules y'know :D

Finally picked up my first Audi on Sat after a fair bit of searching. B8 S4, sprint blue S-tronic with black leather, 10-plate, 47k one owner, FASH and with a fair spec. It's got DAB, B&O, open sky Pan roof, privacy glass, heated Milano leather (not SS seats), folding mirrors, storage pack, load fixing kit, TPMS, parking system plus and Tech pack high with nav, AMI, DVD and voice.
Me and my lad spent Sat afternoon giving it a proper clean up. First impressions - taught, keen with no squeaks and rattles. Makes me look back and smile when I lock and walk away. Likes fuel but hey-ho, I didn't buy it for economy. Have had to recalibrate my right foot's inputs too lol. Those wheels will have to go (I prefer the 19in double spoke Le Mans style) and I'm currently weighing up exhaust options, as per a few threads on here - car is too muted, but I want to hear a few systems before I jump in.
Not worked out best place to put my forum stickers.....

Thanks. In addition to wheels and exhaust, it may get a map, reverse camera and perhaps auto hold if its possible to upgrade or add - the electric handbrake is crap when you try to drive off it.
