Hi everybody.
I have just picked up a silver rs4 avant 2007. It's done 75k miles. Car is clean with no real marks or blemishes. It has the tpms warning due to one of the sensors failing. Looks like I will just disable the system. New tyres fitted by myself yesterday so still bedding them in. Got a good look at the dampers when the wheels were off and they all look ok. Previous owner just had a full set of disks and pads fitted so don't have to worry about the brakes for a few years.
I plan on doing a diff and gearbox oil change myself in the near future. Other than that it will be a snowboard and bike transporter for the next few years.
I've had a mixed bag of cars since I started driving 12 years ago and I'm making my way up the engine classes. I've owned
ford Focus ST170
Ford Focus rs mk2
Audi a3 3.2 Quattro sport
Lotus Elise 111r
Found the forum useful already with the tpms warning and the jerky gear change when cold. Seems like there is not to many issues with the cars engine wise so just got to stay on top of any little faults that may arise.
I'm from Central Scotland so would prefer using a specialist rather than audi dealer for servicing and repairs so any recommendations appreciated.
Thanks for reading
Graham.

Welcome! FON!
Sounds like you've got a nice one,
Are they ceramic brakes? Because if they're steel they definitely won't last a few years on an RS lol. On the plus side if you get the discs from euro car parts and either fit them yourself or get an independent garage to do it they won't bankrupt you like taking it to audi would.
