A Proper Hello!

Post by charlescrawley » Mon Oct 25, 2004 1:16 pm

Well, what can I say?
I'd firstly like to wave hello to you all here in my first proper post!
Secondly, I'd like to thank each and every one of you for a fantastic weekend. I'm truly grateful to you all for sharing your time with me and taking me out for sessions around both Spa and the Nordschleife.
Just driving round the Nordschleife myself was awe inspiring and has definitely given me the bug!
I had an eventful trip back to Luxembourg though... Finding gears was getting more and more difficult and eventually they all gave out. I managed to get into third and nurse the car home, which by this time was fortunately only a couple of miles away. I've spoken to my mechanic and he's decided to drive over to me from Wiesbaden to sort the problem out. He sounded suitably embarrassed!
Anyway, I hope you all had a safe journey home and I look forward to seeing you all soon. You all need to join us at Le Mans next year!
I'll be putting pics up online pretty soon, so I'll post the URL when it's all done.

Cheers,

Esprit Charles

Charles,
it was a pleasure drinking beer and talking bollox with you mate ;)

LeMans next year ?
Sounds good, but surely we can do something track-wise before then, unless you need that long to get the 'box sorted

Have a look in the galary for my pics of your car over the next day or so.

We got back to the speedcat fine, except a few interesting moments with other traffic playing silly buggers. Bit of a bumpy crossing though...

All the best mate,
John.
Too many toys, not enough time
