Potential new RS6 owner needs advice

Post by discostu » Wed Jul 08, 2009 7:53 am

Hi,
due to the iminent arrival of baby the R32 has had to go in favour of something larger so a first genetarion RS6 is on the cards, if I gotta have an estate then make it a good-un.

My budget is £20k for the car and I have my eyes open as to the running costs, I've had a TVR and a Maserati so i know all about big bills.

From what I've read teh RS6 seems pretty solid in general. I know that brakes, gearbox and suspension are all potential issues but what tell tale signs should I be looking for with these parts to avoid any large bills down the road and what other things should I also be looking out for?

Hi & welcome the the site , Good choice of baby carrage.

Try to get the lowest milage newest one you can find . For a few more £££ you could find a rs6+...

Good luck with the hunt... Grizz
