I took delivery of my Imola Yellow B7 2008 RS4 Cab Sept 12th, just three days before our first child was born. A Porsche guy all around from way back, I traded in my '08 997 Targa 4S, a gorgeous amazing car for the RS4 Cab. We just could not fit the infant car seat AND 2 adults into the Porsche and believe me we tried!. Before the Targa, my daily driver was a 996 GT3 putting 27k miles on it the first year, so-yes, I love to drive. I was thrilled to find a web site devoted to these amazing cars! Seems like most posts are coming from Europe and places other than the US. I'm in Southern California and find most people have no idea what an RS4 is. That's one of my favorite things about this car. I've seen 2 B7 RS4 sedans in and around Los Angeles, but never another Cab. I guess only 300 made for US. I'm not a fan of the usual Fly Yellow for cars, but Audi's Imola yellow is, for me, an amazing, buttery fun color. What happened for me was that against my better judgement, I drove the RS4. Always dissapointed with big engines in small cars, such as Mercedes AMG, M-BMW's, etc, sedans, are, well, sedans and don't handle-at least not compared to the Porsche. I was blown away with how good the RS4 handled, almost no body lean, and the sound, Man, the sound! I was a goner. I know it's an illusion, but the Audi actually FEELS faster than the Porsche. We now can take 3 adults and the car seat and not sacrifice performance or excitement. I'm not that much into convertibles, but we didn't want a 4-door sedan and what we REALLY wanted was the RS4 Avant, unavailable in the US, so the Cab gives us a lot of car with options as it's great top up or down. I'd love to hear from other RS4 owners, in the US and abroad. Thanks for this terrific web site!
