Right, recently bought a rs6 with rnse upgrade.
Disc one doesnt read at all and constantly comes up unreadable, disc 2 reads perfectly every times.
These are genuine Nav 2010 discs
thought it may be DVD 1 then, so just order a new set of 2012 discs which arrived this morning and does exactly the same.
Any reason why it would work on 1 disc and not the other?
Thanks
Ryan

Just looked at my 2011 map DVDs:Ryan_Pestell wrote:Any reason why it would work on 1 disc and not the other?
- DVD1 is 7.36GB, which means it's a dual layer DVD
- DVD2 is 4.39GB, which means it's a single layer DVD (as it's less than 4.5GB)
So your problem is a failing laser than cannot read the second (buried) layer on DVD1.
You either need a new laser or a replacement DVD drive. Audi do NOT supply parts for the RNS-E, so the best option I know is to contact members Haaggie and/or rabbit on audiforum.us as they can usually supply the parts you'll need (with fitting instructions).
