Rns-d upgrade to digital tv?

Hi, I'm wanting to know what exactly I need to upgrade my rns-d to use digital tv? I've noticed that I can get a composite input cable from kufatec and then a universal dvb receiver for the car has anyone tried this?
If this does work it would also allow a iPhone or iPad to connect up the same way!
