A4 Radio problems

Just after a bit of a second/third.... oppinion please.

Have an A4 B6 Saloon with Concert II (non-bose).

i) Really bad radio reception which has gradually (over the past 3 months) got worse.

ii) The left and right speakers are a bit intermittent.

I think

i) needs new aerial amplifier above rear window

ii) possibly dry solder joints??

Any other ideas before I spent £100s on parts?
