Bluetooth not working....

I have recently fitted a bluetooth module to my RNS-E. The install seemed to be quite straight forward. The problem I'm having is that although I can see the telephone options my phone hardly ever connects. Every now and then it does make a connection and functions fine but I can't find a pattern why.

Also should I be able to see the RNS-E in VAGCOM?

Ideas anyone?

If you cannot see the RNS-E in vag com then your K-line is missing.

Thanks for your help.

OK, so which wire would that be then? For information the car's a 2003 RS6.

The pinout is on the paper label on the top of the RNS-E.

Yes I know, I was after the wire in the harness. All of the connectors look to be in place.
Wants to colour code of the wire that goes into the k line on the rns-e?

Anyone know the colour of the K Line wire and where does is connect into the harness. I can see where it plugs into the RNS-E so I just need to know which wire to connect.

Don't rely on wire colours, they can change from model year to model year.

The k-line has always been green with a blue stripe in the A6/A4 old A3 etc. It's never changed. I know some colours do change from model to model but in general they stay the same in the build of the car for the type of connection.

OK sorted the K-Line so can see the RNS-E and the Bluetooth Module in VAGCOM. I'm getting 02005 – Coding Pin, 004 – No Signal/Communication as a fault code for the RNS-E. Found this on the Ross-Tech wiki, "When found in Radio/Navigation System RNS-E, Check Coding for Sound System, Check Wiring/Connectors (Connector B Pin 7 not wired)". There's nothing connected to the BOSE pin, so what coding do I need to set? My current coding is 0519313.
