I've just bought an RNS-E to replace my RNS-D in the RS6. Done loads of reading both on here and via google. My old setup has the TMC module under the dash, not sure if that was standard or not. There's nothing to the initial installation, plug N play stuff, however I now need to get the CANBus feed sorted out so that the lights come on and it turns off when I take the keys out. I have found a number of treads about connecting the CANBus but nothing to tell me where needs to be connected to where. Can someone point me in the right direction.
Thanks
RNS-E Upgrade CAN Bus question
RE: RNS-E Upgrade CAN Bus question
Tap into the TMC module connector:
Pin 2 - CAN Low
Pin 3 - CAN High
Pin 2 - CAN Low
Pin 3 - CAN High
RE: RNS-E Upgrade CAN Bus question
OK, so where do I tap these two into on the RNS-E? I've used the Plug N Play module that came with the unit.
Thanks

Re: RE: RNS-E Upgrade CAN Bus question
Actually the best thing to do is remove the TMC module and join the Bosch canbus to the Infotainment canbus. If you don't then the TV tuner will not be seen when that is changed to an RNS-E compatible one.
It might be wise to disconnect the TV tuner as well if your not upgrading it at the same time.
You can then use pins 13 & 26 of the 26 pin connector behind the RNS-D for the correct canbus requirements.
