If it's a 54 plate it will be an RNS-E.

You need a set of 4 standard VW/Audi radio removal tools.

Get the ones with plastic coated handles, unless you enjoy the sight of your own blood!

Halfords sell them - but they're the plain metal ones, so wear gloves when using them.

Hi chaps, just trying to order a set of 4 keys and just want to double check if these ones would be ok? It's for my RNS-E (gonna try to sort this damn fm fault!)

They should work, but it looks like they are bare metal so expect painful (or even bloody if you're unlucky) fingers when using them.

I always advise getting the ones with plastic coated rings on the top, which make it easier to remove obstinate radios.

I didn't get round to getting any keys in the end due to the radio i was fitting went missing. I would say get the one's with the covered pull on them as Petrol dave says.

Don't suppose you could give us a heads up (pardon the pun) as to where I can get the good quality plastic/covered handle ones by any chance?

Anyone - decent quality keys? Linky? Nicely...

Actually, the reason I posted those keys was because in the picture they look like the round bit is more rounded off and smoother than some of the other ones on there which look flatter and quite sharp.

So I could just take a chance and if they are too sharp, just use gloves I guess like you say. But a link to some decent ones would be swell.

I got mine from VAGParts - but they've been a victim of the poor €:£ exchange rate.

I've seen the plastic coated ones from some eBay sellers, or you could buy them from Audi.
