Using RNS-D GPS antenna with a splitter

Being fed up with having no GPS reception inside the car, I have bought a GPS repeater that has an external antenna and retransmits the GPS signal inside the car.

Instead of using the supplied (active) antenna, I'd quite like to use the OEM one going to my RNS-D via a splitter.

Could this work? Even if my repeater is trying to power an antenna? Is the RNS-D trying to power the OEM antenna on the roof?

CheeRS :)

P.S. Also, where can I get 12v supply from inside the glovebox that'll go off with the ignition? Thanks!

I used a GPS splitter to supply GPS Information to an origin B2 speed camera detector. Seemed to work great, I think the splitter blocks the power from the second feeding device. So the RNS-E in my case powered the GPS roof antenna.
