If you try a search for "Phatbox" or "Phatnoise" you should get loads of info that might help.

Hi Dave,

I have a RS6 with a RNS-D. Prob going to change it for a Kenwood DNX unit or such like, just wondered. Currently using my old Alpine HU as a test. I have a Denson interface on the RNS-D, but its annoying.

There are adapters available for e.g. Alpine MP3 CD changers, but the same restrictions will apply, i.e. 6 CDs max (so if you get an 8 CD changer 2 slots will be unusable) and no track names. So you can get MP3 capability but you won't get track names.

Thx Dave,

Kinda what I thought. I think i'll go for a Kenwood DNX-5240 as it will be better quality than the rns-d and better gps + usb and iphone support.

Going to post a note here to asking if I will be able to use the existing gps aeriel in the RS for the kenwood.

Don't see why not - it's the same output as a standard hockey puck antenna.

You'll most likely need an adapter from the Fakra connector used by the RNS-E to whatever the connector is on the Kenwood.

Don't know if this helps : http://www.wak-tt.com/mods/sonymp3/sonymp3.htm

Wak did this in his TT many years ago so it may no longer be available .... or it may be any easy solution.
