The sound quality is alot deeper and crisper, you can add bluetooth to it, the maps are alot more detailed, it has 2 sd card slots for playing mp3`s plus more

when you say blue tooth, does that mean it will work with a mobile phone for recieving calls on the move ?
Can you enter postcodes into the nav system for finding destinations?

Bluetooth is an extra to the basic RNS-E unit which allows You to make and recieve calls on the move handsfree.
You can not use full post codes just the First Four digits (IIRC)

The CD/DVD slot on the RNS-E can be used to play audio CDs too.

But if you do that you can't navigate while listening to a CD!.

If you want navigation and listening to a CD at the same time you need the external CD changer.

Plus it uses DVD maps which cover most of either Western Europe or Eastern Europe instead of a CD per country - really useful when you go abroad.

Bluetooth is a totally separate module which you have to install separately.
