how to update firmware on RNS-D

Hi there, I have a B5 RS4 and had a 2001 map disc for the SAT NAV. I purchased the right TELEATLAS CD with 2008 maps and TMC which also worked and I remember I did a firmware upgrade to get it to read the disc.
When i had to have some work done on the car something happened and it sort of reset the SAT NAV and it would no longer read my latest disc and only my old 2001. I can no longer remember how I updated the firmware (I think I still have the firmware on a disc that I had downloaded) but if anyone knows where to download the latest firmware/software I would be also grateful.
Any help would be appreciated
