Door open sensor?

Post by david7m » Wed Jul 01, 2009 10:25 am

Very occassionally, my 2001 S3 doors are shut, but the dash shows it open (interior light stays on too). Any ideas of what to check?

Cheers Phil. I'll be leaving that then ;)

Will spraying WD40 into the lock help?

Or remove the door lock yourself and adjust/replace the microswitch which either costs nothing (if you can adjust it) or a few quid if you replace the switch.
