Key Coding?

Key Coding?

Does anyone knowmif the FOB needs to be reset in any way following a battery change? If so how is this done?

As I understand it the key can only be coded to the immobiliser once but surely changing a battery shouldn`t warrant a trip to the dealer for recoding??

Hi Matty,

Last time I changed the Key fob battery I didn't have to re-code anything.
03 Mugello Blue Avant, Silver Leather, Carbon Fibre, Alcantara Headlining, MFSW, Electric folding Mirrors. H&R Coilovers, Hotchkis ARB's, Res Miltek, APR R1's, ITG Filters, RNS-E, OEM Bluetooth, Digital Freeview and Headrest Monitors, Aero Wipers, Rear Aero Wiper and R/H parking Mod, Rear Fog mod, Valentine 1.

I just used the key in the ignition to initialise mine.

Key FOB was basically fooked so new FOB with coding from the dealer @ £76 all in!
