RNS - E problem

Post by mattykerby01 » Wed Jan 07, 2009 7:17 pm

Hi Guys,

Just pickup my car from my local MOT garage this morning as the car had to stay overnight due to a failure on the dreaded CV gaitor...

Apparently !! the battery went flat over night ? and now the RNS system will not turn off when the key is removed from the ignition ?

I have also noticed that the red illumination lights behind the function buttons dont work when the i switch the headlights on?

I will be taking the car back tomorrow as its was fine before, but any help would be useful before i pump some *ucks into the bloke... :x :x :x :x :x

Any suggestions ???

Many thanks

Both those symptoms are caused by either the CAN bus connection to the RNS-E being faulty, or the RNS-E having been rercoded for the wrong model (so it doesn't understand the messages on nthe CAN bus).
