Audi Concert- repair or replace???

Having just discovered that my 3 yr old has fed several pounds worth of change into the tape deck of the stereo, what do I do next??

I need the tape deck to run my mp3 player, so do I change/repair the existing one OR do I remove this and 'upgrade to something else?
What are the options if I wish to upgrade as it looks bigger than an ordinary sized head unit?

Exactly the same thing happened to mine when a mate's kid thought the car was coin-op.

I just got a 2nd hand one off eBay and was lucky it wasn't affected by the volume issue. People had recommended Becker units which look fairly OEM.
