updating pogo alert

Is anyone using a pogo? Having just bought one i am well pleased with how it works. One problem i have is not being able to update it.
I have registered it and installed the software from the disk.Problem is that when i click on the update icon on the desktop ,the update window appears and when i connect the pogo and click on update nothing happens, even though it says update in progress.

Any thoughts
