C5 RS6 door open signal

My rear door does not show up on the DIS when it is opened also the welcome lights in the door do not come on either. I suspect it is not getting the signal to say 'door open'. In the good 'ole days this would have been a simple switch...
Also the welcome light in the boot does not and the bulb is okay. It appears not to be getting the signal to say 'boot open'....

Yeah, the door shut sensor is part of the door locking mechanism.

So its a panel off job to fix?

That's if it is the sensor, I'm not sure how it works but I would imagine that if the wiring was shot you would get the door open signal?
But, yes removing the door lock is a door panel off jobbie.
I know some have fixed the locking mechanism once they have removed it from the door.

Funny though, if you open the door, although the courtesy light in the door do not come on and the DIS does not register the door open, the interior lights come on. All other doors etc behave as normal.
