Hi. Just recently got my 2004 S4 and although it has the phone prep fitted I am not certain which version it is... the car has the navigation with the 2xSD card slots for music and the 6disc multichanger fitted..

Just wanted to know if the iphone holder listed above is compatible?

The sat nav has no relevance to the phone module - they are completely separate, and the same phone modules are used with the "normal" radios like the Concert & Symphony.

I don't see why you need a Bluetooth cradle, since the module that the cradle connects to provides Bluetooth (unless you have a very old module fitted to your car).

So you don't end up buying something wrong, best to first get someone with VAG-COM to check the revision letter of the phone module (address #77) fitted to your car.

Should the supplying dealer have that info somewhere in the system?

I doubt it, probably all they will have access to is the option code (which you've also got on the sticker in your car), and that doesn't change along with module revision codes.
