Does anyone have any recommendations for a Navigation system that works in the Middle East?
I don't think TOMTOM have any UAE Maps, but I think that Garmin may have, albeit a not very up to date map.
Any experiences/recommendations anyone?

I bought a copy of Route 66 to run on my pocket pc. www.66.com and select the country of choice in the top right of the screen.golfather wrote:Does anyone have any recommendations for a Navigation system that works in the Middle East?

However, I am about to buy a double din multimedia head unit for my B7 RS4 and install sat nav on that (i can give you more details if thats of interest).
As you are probably aware, most nav units are probably superseded by events as soon as they are released due to the pace of construction in the Middle East (i'm in Dubai).

I bought a Garmin unit as it has a 2008 version of the UAE map.
Its the only one in the UK I could find that did it, and is readily available to download.
Far superior than the RNSE unit from Audi, when it comes to navigating

I used to use a Garmin before my RNS-E - and I'm of the opposite opinion.golfather wrote:Far superior than the RNSE unit from Audi, when it comes to navigating
