Whats the best Tracking Device?

Whats the best tracking device available?

Have always used Tracker Monitor in my last three cars; but having used the same technology for last 6 or 7 years there must be better systems available by now.

Have had a quick search and have found the following; anyone got any guidance of whats good and whats a waste of money???:

CobraTrak Connex/ADR £450?

SmarTrack Alert24 KeyGuard £400?

Tracker Response £650 fitted?

Clifford Blackjax - Anti hijack system £150?

Tramigo T22 TrackMeCar £250

Trimtrac Pro approx £230

RAC Trakstar Plus £450

Any other's???

The clifford blaxkjax isn't a tracking system, merely an adaptation to a clifford alarm system. Quite a few users get pi**ed off using the blackjax system and disable it!

Sorry - no ideas on the merits or otherwise of the tracking systems though! I guess the monitor type ones will be better as they will alert you when the car has been moved, whereas the passive type ones rely on you noticing that the car has gone awol.

I wonder if any of the motoring mags have ever done a system comparison?

I thought exactly that... you would think with the volume of performance/prestige vehicles fitting these kind of devices, someone would have done a review/comparison but I can't find any... I may write to Evo.
