Bluetooth phone and LG Shine mobile

The shine cannot find the car when I do a search...have checked the phone settings and visbility is not hidden and bt all switched on etc.

Mmm interesting. I had the Shine for all of 2 days because the thing couldn't find my bluetooth gizmos. Sorry I know that doesn't help. Nice looking phone though.....

Just called LG. They say LG phones can only connect to LG bluetooth modules.

Perhaps its me but I thought that was one of the whole points of bluetooth..? Connect to any other similiar type bluetooth device.....

That's pants!!!

If that's true, it means that LG "Bluetooth" is NOT Bluetooth but something that happens to use the same frequencies and some of the same protocols as Bluetooth but ISN'T Bluetooth!!! And in that case they would have been sued by now for misues of the Bluetooth name.

I suspect you might have spoken to a non-technical marketing idiot.
