I have to post a picture of this becasue i was so shocked at how good this was done. I am fitting a rn-e into my rs4 - i will post up all the links to where i bought bits and how i got it to work.
I got R33V-spec to do a black piano trim on the front face of the rns-e. I just got it back today and it looks like this:

They are £350 which i thought was a lot, but when you see how good the finish it is, it is well worth it.

probably can be done for 5-600 on a budget - it is the extras and finish that add the cost - how much did your sound install cost leon?

Looks great Doug!

Doug glad you got it one piece! No damaged i hope!
It's a real shame that the pics cannot convey the quality of the finish, and overall quality of workmanship.
Once thats nestling in the dash, it will look totally awesome and OEM!
BTW did it fit ok, with the mod at the bottom especially?

Is the top section for the 4-ways part of it, or did you get that done anyway?

The top bit was the sample i sent with the face to get a match (it was hte first piano black they did) - i have the black piano trim in the car. They can do a carbon faceplate as well.

Looks amazing...but £350 for a one piece of trim :

That's a fair chunk of the cost of a carbon fibre propshaft !

Wait till you see it jeff. It is 2 pieces - the tv screen surround is done to match the surround.

I would not put any cheap sh!t on my car of use any cheap workmanship
This has to been seen to be believed!
Yep as explained the top piece was only sent to match the shade of the piano trim.
I know its expensive, but I know for sure I wouldn't be able to live with the gaps on either side, so had to do something. I believe that if I want to do something (especially mods), then it has to be done "properly" and OEM as possible.
It's actually the labour/time taken to do the job that accounts for most of the cost. And I'm sure Doug will appreciate/assume the time taken when seen.

Fair enough....for £350 I'll live with the gaps. If Audi had actually done it would have been in the same plastic as the rest of the fascia trim and not piano or carbon.

Not nessesarily true. Audi fitted more Carbon trim to the RS4 than the S4. This is just the next step. Shame is the heater panel isn't carbon or in this case piano black.
