RNS-E or MMI?

Post by tartan_rob » Fri Nov 09, 2007 9:48 am

What is the difference between these two?>

Both 'appeaer' to be the same on the outside.....big question is, can the MMI be installed/retrofitted into an RNS-E car and made to work as an MMI?

I'm sure there are a few on here that would like to know the differance with these. It would be nice to get access to the Tyre pressure monitor etc...

The RNS-E is a one box system. MMI is a multi-box system distributed throughout the car and connected by fibre optics. They share ..... absolutely nothing - there is no common parts at all, they don't even use the same map DVD.

AFAIK nobody has yet fitted MMI into an RNS-E car - it would be a BIG job.
