On the drivers side by the electical box I now have quite a number of items installed, with more to come ... and hate to keep soldering a new wire onto the mass thats there ...
What I was thinking was take a feed from the main junction box under the steering wheel, must be a 14v feed there?
And get a little project box and fill it with female photo connectors, then, with my current and any new items I need power for I can just solder on a male phono connecter and it will be nice easy plug in ...
Is this a good idea?
Do I need to worry about putting them all in parallel or serial?
I will have each new item fused, maybe the main feed into the project box from the 14v feed.
Does this make sense?
Cheers
Rich
Can I wire up like this?!?
RE: Can I wire up like this?!?
Suggest that you fuse the wire feed to the project box in order to protect that particular cable (stop it melting and causing a fire). All connections will have to be parallel inside the project box...i.e. have a "bus bar" (fused as above) and then tag off that for each separate item with a fuse on each.

Remember that the purpose of a fuse is to protect the wire and not the item!
