If you've read my previous problems you'lll know that I've had a bit of a problem with my sat nav.

Its got a bit worse now though!

When powering up the unit and after entering the code, the unit says

"THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM IS BEING ACTIVATED PLEASE WAIT" and thats it, it doesn't lask for the CD as before and after being left on for several hours there is no change.

I've vag commed it and come up with

01300 - Control module for navigation with CD Rom (J401)
37-00 Faulty comes up. There is no meaning for this code on the Rosstech website.

Ive checked all the wires and plugs on the back and they all seem okay.
Is it time to give up the ghost on this unit and plump for a new one?

Given that in your other thread you say the CD drive is bugg..ed, I suspect this is the system gradually giving up the will to live ...

Would like to be sure that this fault code is not anything to with wiring our connections though.

emial Rosstech, they may be able to point you to the correct info on the error code at least...??
